The “stargazer” hybrid is one of the most popular and well-loved oriental lilies named after the way the blooms face towards the sky. They have a spicy aroma that complements their showy blossoms. “Stargazer” Oriental or Asiatic lilies have fragrant large bowl-shaped or flat-shaped flowers which bloom in mid- to late-summer that will come back every year.
Stargazers are tall plants with large flowers with vibrant colors that’s perfect for planting in the middle or back of a flower bed and they are attractive to butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. Plant them among plants that will shade the ground to keep the bulbs cool but in a very bright area where the leaves and stems will get full sun so they will grow perfectly.
Stargazers are very easy to grow and make excellent cut flowers.
