Caladium Florida Cardinal or "Buck" is an arrow shaped red heart-shaped foliage with darker bright crimson red veins and green wavy borders.
Caladiums, also known as angel wings, are easy to grow bulb plants that are grown for their bright, colorful and unique foliage that grow from summer through fall. Most caladiums have heart shape, arrowhead or laced shape with shades of green, red, pink and white color while others have variegations, speckles, spots or deep veining.
Caladiums are great to start indoors when the temperature is warming up and transfer outdoors when it is bright and warm. Caladiums grow best in any place where they get partial sun or bright indirect light, warm soil with consistent moisture and humidity. The colors of caladium will be more intense when they are in partial to full shade location. Caladiums will enhance your creativity in your plant beds, gardens, sidewalk, driveway, patios or containers.
Caladiums can’t handle the cold. When winter comes, layer the top of the soil with mulch for them to come back the next growing season or dig before frost, store the bulbs in a warm, dry place and plant them the next growing season.
